Hello, ducklings–

It’s been a while, and I’m not quite back entirely, but I’ve been working on a lot of new things. SO.

Here’s a quick drawing of my D&D character, Vesper, or as much of one as I can give you, given that it’s a shapeshifter. Yay! …I suppose that I -did- post the sketches for this a long while back…August, perhaps? (ETA: If by August I mean -MAY-.) But I hadn’t actually finished it until recently, when I acquired some interesting new toys. I really ought to use markers on nicer paper sometime. Hm.

Vesper. Shapeshifter, mage, rogue, international (interdimensional?) he/she/it of approximate mystery. It looks somewhat like this.

Everything old is new.

Today I’m starting from this. I’ve had ideas for it for a while, but everything up until now has been slightly abortive.

Still plotzing away at some other projects. *sigh* It’s been a little like pulling teeth to get myself to sit down and work lately. I keep wanting to go running and rampaging and hang out with friends. :x Also, Pokémon. Lots of that. Ah, well. Plotz plotz plotz.

We wept when we saw.

This is something I put up at the end of August on my tumblr because I couldn’t access this site. Still, some of you might not have seen it, and I’ll also add in the original version, just, you know, because. :)

And this is the old version–several years, if you want the truth. There are things I like about both. This one is a little more…eighties, I think.

Tonight is Paprika night. I’m going to watch it and then prepare to go on a trip.

I took September off. I kind of have a thing about September, to be fair–I frequently spend them being quiet and undercover. But I’m back now, and I have a metric monkeyton of projects to attend to and finish in the next month. SO.

This month is going to be all about process! Whee~!

Here’s what I’m doodling on today–obviously far from finished, but heeey, what the heck. I’m almost out of Tuesday.:

I done been painting this evening. There used to be lines involved, but about halfway through I turned them off and realized I liked the way it looked without them better. *shrug* Make of it what you will. It started life as a scribbly doodle done …I think at a gaming table, actually, as so many of my arts for the last while. :)

I have a thing that I’ll scan in a bit, but I really need to soak my feets. I walked a considerable amount today. Update will be a little late as a result.

News, I suppose.

Sorry for being a jerk and disappearing for a while there. I’ve been working on things that, contests being what they are, I can’t actually show you yet.

I can tell you I’m drawing Elfquest pinups, though, and that will mollify, perhaps, one or two?

I’ve also been passing through a spate of uninspired BLARGH, which is terribly disheartening for me, but also a consistent pattern in regards to the middle/end of summer, especially the spaces between vacations.

Hoping to be back up and around more starting soon–also, have pretty good starts on these projects (FOUR, count ‘em, four pinups, for which I have THREE, yes THREE ideas. *lightning krakathooms in the background*)

Ah, I’m sorry, folks. I’ll be back soon.

This week is dedicated to Ceci, who is awesome and wonderful and it is her birthday in one minute. I draw a lot of things for her, because her worlds are lovely and vibrant and I connect to them amazingly well. I drew this for her a couple of years ago, not far from this time, and it’s not the very best thing I’ve ever drawn in terms of anatomy and proportion and all, but comes close to perfect in the feeling of these two loving each other and yet being not entirely able to talk about it.

I shall let you draw your own conclusions after that.

I haven’t forgotten. I’m working on a thing. But I can’t upload from an iPad and we’re going to go see Captain America at midnight. So. I will post a Thing when I get home.

A thing. I originally drew the rough sketch while at a SJ Tucker/Heather Dale AMAZING MASHUP CONCERT OF WOW AND FABULOSITY. The text is the lyrics to the song, ‘Neptune’, from S.J. Tucker’s most recent album Mischief (yes, that’s the one I did the cover art for.) Yes, I asked permission.

Yes, I still want to draw something -more- someday. Something that actually manages to put into a drawing the emotions that this song brings up. Ah, well. Keep trying, baby. This is a start, at least.

probable cause.

This was originally was just a ballpoint scrawl done late at night at a convention. I turned it into a thing. The drawing itself was done on the iPad with Sketch Club, which has -added the ability to transform layers OMG YAY-. I prodded colors and textures and such in Photoshop.

I apologize for missing last week. I had a peep and a midnight Harry Potter show to attend. ^_^;;
